Capture leads

Collect names, emails, and phone numbers from visitors.

schedule3 min read

Turn conversations into contacts. With lead capture enabled, your bot asks visitors for their details as part of a natural conversation and saves every lead to your dashboard.

  1. 1

    Enable lead capture

In your chatbot's Settings, turn on lead capture.
  2. 2

    Choose your fields

Decide what to collect — typically name, email, and phone. You can mark fields as required and add your own custom fields.
  3. 3

Let the bot do the asking

The bot collects details conversationally during the chat — no clunky form — then confirms and continues helping the visitor.
  4. 4

    Review your leads

Open the Leads view on the chatbot card to see every captured contact, when it was captured, and its source.

NoteCaptured leads are also linked to their conversation, so in the Inbox you can see the visitor's name and contact details right beside the chat.

TipKeep required fields to a minimum — asking for just a name and email up front converts far better than a long form.

Frequently asked questions

Where do captured leads go?

Every lead is saved to your dashboard. Open the Leads view on a chatbot to see each captured contact along with the date and source, and they also appear beside the conversation in the Inbox.

Can I choose which fields to collect?

Yes. You decide which details to collect — typically name, email, and phone — mark fields as required or optional, and add your own custom fields.

Does the bot use a form or ask conversationally?

The bot collects details naturally within the conversation rather than showing a rigid form, which feels friendlier and tends to convert better.
